Rest series
Rest lenses are accommodative lenses with an addition up to + 1.25D, designed to relieve ocular stress caused by the modern lifestyle. Spending many hours in front of the computer, or using a smartphone, we constantly strain our ciliary muscle, which is used in focusing and contracts when we observe very close objects. The closer the objects we observe, the greater the contraction required of the muscle.
The lenses facilitate accommodation when switching from far to near vision: the lower portion of the REST lenses in fact contain additional power. In this way, when we lower our gaze to observe nearby objects, the contraction required to the ciliary muscle is less.
